【STORY】
The decline of the once robust fields of science and technology led to a new energy source for the modern era: magic. Humanity creates Gears, forbidden biological weapons. Those same Gears eventually stand against humanity in rebellion. Although they managed to overcome the war for survival known as The Crusades, humanity’s losses were so great that even after several decades, their emotional wounds remain raw.

Sin Kiske, the child of a human and a Gear, heads to the wedding ceremony of his father Ky and his mother Dizzy. Their wedding breaks the ultimate taboo of a union between human and Gear. Even with the world at peace, it took many years before such a ceremony could come to fruition. Despite the complex array of emotions surrounding it, the wedding is met with blessings.

GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-, the highly-acclaimed 2.5D fighting game, will be making its Nintendo Switch debut on January 23, 2025! Pre-orders are now open for the Nintendo Switch Edition physical package!

Sanzigen Studios, which produced game protagonist Sol Badguy’s “Find Your One Way” music
video for GUILTY GEAR’s latest video game entry, GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-, will return to
produce the anime series. Shigeru Morikawa (famous for “Argonavis the Movie: Axia”) will
direct. Others attached to the project include GUILTY GEAR writer Norimitsu Kaihō for series
composition and Seiji Mizushima (famous for Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Fullmetal Alchemist) as
associate producer. More details on “GUILTY GEAR STRIVE: DUAL RULERS” will be shared
on the official website and X social media account.

GUILTY GEAR STRIVE: DUAL RULERS will be at ANIME EXPO 2024

What’s more, the anime series is headed to Anime Expo 2024, taking place in Los Angeles,
California July 4-7. Fans will get a first look at a trailer along with behind the scenes info during
Arc System Works’ “GUILTY GEAR STRIVE: DUAL RULERS – Special Event” panel taking
place on July 4 at Anime Expo Main Events Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. Additionally, all
fans attending the panel will receive a GUILTY GEAR STRIVE: DUAL RULERS poster while
supplies last. Panelists will include Norimitsu Kaiho, Seiji Mizushima as well as Ken Miyauchi
(GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- producer).
Since its debut in 1998, the GUILTY GEAR video game series has become a staple in its genre,
with GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- having surpassed 2.5 million users worldwide. The highly
acclaimed title most recently launched the new playable character Slayer for fans.

Guilty Gear -Strive- Group Drawing Stage

Bron Mitchell (Esports Manager for Arc System Works America) sat down with Rynge and Sajam to discuss how the draw was put together in order to keep the drawing stage as random as possible while maintaining competitive integrity for all competitors.

Players were separated into four groups or four.
With this in mind, hosts would draw 1 random name from each group to fill the finalized Group Stage for Guilty Gear -Strive-, happening on Day 2 of Arc World Tour Finals 2023 and determine who battles who for the shot of becoming Arc World Tour Champion. The results are as follows:

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising – Bracket Draw

Once the groups for GGST had been set, the cast moved on to drawing the names for the GBVSR TOP 8 bracket that would be taking place on Finals Day along with GGST Top 8.
All competitors would funnel into winner’s side in this TOP 8 and will be played as a double elimination bracket. With this in mind the casters went on to begin drawing each player into the respective position within the bracket. The results are as follows:
